Would you want to be Poleil's consort? Enforced loneliness and subsequent derangement as a product of her career seems like a good suffering-type thing.
Kallor is likely suffering from high blood pressure from a few thousand years of rage, jealously and disappointment at not being able to break the curse.
Actually, the Crippled God seems more into denying freedom (as he himself is chained) than suffering. If the individuals he's conscripting into service have nothing wrong with them initially, he then gives them a flaw, which causes their misery because it restricts their freedom.
Which is where Karsa comes in - a bigger, better Conan entirely devoted to being the freest being on Wu.
I wonder about Tene Baralta though - what price would he have paid for agreeing to Gethol's offer if events had gone differently?

I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

What Amphibian said ^^
The CG's followers only need to have a flaw, they don't have to be horribly disfigured.
Karsa is cursed with the dragging of his dead, all though the focus wasn't much on it in Bonehunters, this was something that really "dragged him down" in HoC (see what I did there?
hee hee )
Gethol and tene Beralta's face got ruined. Beralta was apparently a very vain man, a bit like "Broken Horseface man". While Gethol doesn't seem to care about appearance, he is incredibly selfabsorbed and prone to a severe lack of modisty.
Kallor, like Gethol, suffer from an endless lack of humility and arrogance. The whole cursed by the gods make him great for the Cg also I would guess.
Silgar was a leper and a cripple
Bidithal was a sadist, cruel, arrogant and in a sense still ignorant.
Felisin is a selfindulgent sloth.
Can't remember anymore.

Just like her (adopted) mother- think it's to do with the name? Or maybe just being a woman?
I jest, naturally (just incase any females read this

I get the impression both Felisins were horrible poets who thought they were genius. Like they both argued their infantile philosophys with Heboric but at least Felisin elder realised she was all pretense and empty rage just before her 'goddess' died and then herself. Felisin younger still seems awful fat, sassy, and spoilt considering her humble origins. I expected more from her but she seems at times to be developing as if the elder Felisin is possesing her the way she was possessed by the Whirlwind goddess.
I can't decide but simply being named, "Felisin" almost constitutes a flaw all by its self.

I'm fairly sure Mother Paran was named Felisin too, and she was a poet who committed suicide. Further confirmation?

recall however that paran decided to make a new card for felisin ad her apocalyptic disciples instead of adding it to the HoC... ithink it may just show up that it is it's own power - though of course loyalty to HoC is not a prerequisite to being a member ie: karsa knight
Ithink its the position and immaturity. like most young girls i know nowadays, just too immature for their status.

Salvation isn't a card for Felisin and co., it just happens to be represented by them at the current time.
