Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Orion

(a brilliant cover version of a metallica tune by 2 acoustic guitarists).

Also has their new single and a cool acoustic cover of Stairway To Heaven.

Hehehe, funny story how they ended up in the UK too. A Mexican death metal band or something like that.

Yeah, one story i heard them say at a concert was that they had sold their heavy metal equipment and bought some good acoustic guitars, and were looking to go to Europe. A friend of their's had just come back from Europe and said they should go to ICELAND, but they misheard them and ended up going to IRELAND instead. Then spent a few years busking on the streets and living in a crappy flat in rainy Dublin. Got their first break playing in a café on a recommendation from Damien Rice, and then supported him on a few gigs. From there it's been onwards and upwards.
The Iceland bit was probably bull, but it was a nice story during a gig.

They are really nice people, that are also really good musicians, and are huge fans of rock music. And that all comes across when they play live.

If they're coming near you, go and see them. They rock!!

Plus, Gabriela is hot.
