"Deep lyrical gangsta"? I think we'll see man divide by zero before "deep lyrical gangsta". Though this has to be one of the most perfect oxymoron I have ever heard. :D

At least before he descended into paranoia. And even a lot of his later (living) work was 'deep' insofar as it exposed a lot of humanity annnd boobies. Sorry. I'm Deeliciously distracted at the moment, so any sensible end to this post is just not going to happen. Mammbe later. :D

Asher D feat. Swiss - Back In The Day

One of my favourite songs ever, finally found my CD with it on. Now THIS puts american rap to shame. :D

Well, it's a bit more UK garagey, but still.

I almost wet myself when I first heard rumours of that get-together, but I didn't know they'd actually got on and done it.

Even if it isn't, it still sounds worth investigating.

As it happens, Opeth - The Drapery Falls

Edit - think I found them (here), it's not THAT collaboration, but still... Moore is a genius. Must add to list.

I checked themn out on Wikipedia. It isn't that collaboration, you're right. I think we shall have to wait for that one. Still, they might be worth checking out, hey?

Speaking of awesome...

Flipper - Way of the World

@Tiste: Thrones is difficult to describe. If 'drone metal rock' works that's probably the best I can do. There's a lot of variation song to song, utilizing all sorts of crazy effects on bass and vocals. Thrones is just one dude with bass and a drum machine and clearly the only 'band' worth listening to. I saw 'them' open for Boris a while ago.

Iron Maiden - The Legacy
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
