I think you are safe about there being others...although I must point out that as far as baseball is concerned I believe Japan are currently World Champions...

It was started in the US, and the 'world baseball classic' thing is a joke.. they need it at a different time of year... as most of the good north american and latino players are opening spring training... many that attended this year were not made very welcome when they returned. I do not see that happening again.

I would like to say the Cards, and many of my friends and family would be mad if I didn't, but they aren't the team they have been in years past. I think they blew their chance for a world series win, and who knows how long it will be before they get another.
HAs anyone seen this old-school baseball league starting? They use rules and equipment 1800's style. Looks interesting, and I guess it's catching on a little bit.

I believe that currently the Cubs are on the hottest streak (Since Crazy Lou did his line dancing routine).
