So I just burned through all 7 books in a matter of weeks.
3 Questions:
Who is Traveller?
Who is Foreigner?
Who are the millions of soul that are trapped in the jade that Heboric reaches out and embraces?

traveller is widely accepted as daseem
foreginer if memory serve is banasaher... or whatever his spelling is or is it withal the swordsmith,.. memory is a bit foggy..
insufficient data regarding the souls in the jade but they are theorised to be form the cg home plane and are sent to seal the rent that was his passage

Foreigner is Withal, pretty much. Traveller is almost as certainly Dassem. And the Jade Giant's trapped souls could either be a sealant for the rent, or a following army for or against the CG, or... etc.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I got the impression that the souls in the JGs were merely people from various planets that the JGs passed by on their journey through space. They seem to come from entirely different worlds, so I doubt that they're all from the CG's home.

That's right, I knew the bit about Foreigner, just slipped my mind.
So Daseem ascended, and became Traveler...
The souls in the jade...Heboric accepted their pain, thats what Hood released him back for, right?
And what did Hood ask for in return from paran for releasing Heboric?

I don't remember it saying that Dassem/traveler was an ascendant? Knight of death once and possibly able to scare calm Icarium but not ascended... hmm.
Heboric was released to use the enourmous power of the jade to stop the impact of the moon/jade fragments that would have devastatet Wu. Quite possibly he also managed to take the pain, he seemed to be engulfed in it before he disappeared anyway.
Nobody knows what went on between Hood and Paran (and quick)... maybe with the exception of Kallor, the fiend
there's many theories, the funniest is the one about Hood wanting a wife. Go, go, Soldier of death!

If Leoman is right, and Dassem=Dessembrae, he's most certainly an ascendant

Dassem = Dessembrae. Whether he's also Traveller seems likely, but not definite.
Foreigner was Withal from MT.
The souls in the Jade chunks seem to be souls of the dead collected from various worlds or dimensions and stuck in the jade chunks instead of proceeding to an afterlife. Imnsho, Heboric used his link to the Jade power and his ability as Shield Anvil/Destriant to remove all the souls from the Jade chunks, thus removing the power from the impacts. Note that bits still fell damaging ships and Spite's wings.
- Abyss, could say that Heboric 'blew chunks'.
