Where is it said that the world in which the Malazan books are set is called Wu? I've seen it several times on these forums, but don't remember it from anay of the books. Actually, I have a vague recollection of reading in an Erikson interview that the world is unnamed.

It is unnamed. It began as a sort of spoof, since the name Wu pops up here and there in the books.

I think there are two chapters with citation by an author named Wu. But nothing more is really revealed about Wu, so it's used as a name for the world. I can't remember if it was ICE and SE themselves that started using it or if it was just a not so clever reader.

Dude I think you answered the question in your own post.
Yeh I can remember that interview. Its probably down theire in Q&A section or in the interviews in the Wiki. But it goes something like SE saying he was originally going to give it a name but decided not to.
But we dragged it out of him anyway.
And its easier to call it Wu than call the Malaz world or something like that:p
Its only two letters after all :)
