Hello everyone.
This is my first post so,be gentle!
Im on page 106 of HoC and its just struck me that the Crimson Guard are very short on the ground so far in the series.I do hope they"re going to make an appearance before the saga finishes.
Although they had a very brief appearance in "Gardens" they seem very interesting.

Ian Cameron Esslemont will be taking Care of writing about most of the Crimson guards exploits.
If you dont know who he is, he is the Co-creater of the malaz world.
Some parts are Erikson's, some are Esslemont's.

Love the username.
The Crimson Guard appear in Midnight Tides also, and it's very likely they will also be in books still to come.

I should hope that they make another appearance in the main sequence books but you never know. SE kind of cut all ties they had with the current players.

Well, all things considered the series was planned from the start to include the 10 novels by Steven Erikson and the 5(or 6 depending on how much success he has) by ICE. We also know that the 2nd book in the ICE sequence deals with the Crimson Guard. And also considering the fact that this novel takes place right after the events of Bonehunters, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Crimson Guard that make an appearance in Midnight Tides in that novel. The Crimson Guard, from the very start have been ICE territory and I was, personally, very surprised to see them in Midnight Tides. But after learning abouot Return of the Crimson Guard, their appearance might just tie in very nicely with that novel

We don't know the size of Return yet, but it looks to be the size of GOTM so far - although another MOI-sized book would indeed be awesome.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
