on the subject of tehol, i never really understood what his earlier brilliant scheme had been.
He became really rich and then bought some islands (i think) and then he destroyed all his money which crippled the lether economy-am i right or am i missing something?

He helped to hide away a portion of the people that the Lethers have enslaved.

By the time the Edur took Letheras, there were barely any ethnic minority indebteds left in the city. He did a very good job, as testified by Gerun Eberict who was getting very angry that there was noone left for him to kill.
