The face looks really cool, scary. The sword is good, too, you can see, that it's made out of stone :)
But I imagined the T'lan Imass a bit more skeleton-like and not with such a huge mane :D

The descriptions are a bit mixed as they suggest chopped up wood hard flesh in many cases. Will post up some descriptions to go along with the thread. Well, with the mane I was going for a certain look... :)

Will go for some helmed versions soon!

More imagery they remind me of - the CGI Mummy from The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, the only good part of those films. Just with a tad more flesh and a tad less dessication.

I really should start drawing again... Damned exams.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

ha! I think that as well :)

I always seem to draw them as pretty much just skeletons in armour, but thats not quite right as they are more like just dried up people with a bit of bone exposed...I think :Erm:

Hmmm... could be, but perhaps a bit less skeletal?

Reading MoI at the mo and I get the impression they vary from skeletons with bits of flesh, muscle and tendon to mainly hard flesh and muscle, with bone showing through in places...

There are refs to bone marks when tracking them, I'd guess they started off looking normal and now it depends on how worn, chopped up etc. they are. IIRC in tBH they look normal to each other, while still under the influence of the Tellan ritual.

Brilliant sketch.

But tell me - how would you draw a bargast? I think in MOI they mention it. goes something like this - 'have you ever seen a bargast corpse'
'Yes' (or something like that.
'Have you ever seen a Bargast corpse animate?'

I think it's like that. I'd say you could kill two birds with one stone and draw a bargast, then draw him dead in animal skins!!!

I think!

Bit of a thing there, they resemble the Imass (skeletal structure), but are bigger through their Toblaki blood. Humbral Taur is described as huge.

Would like to get time to draw a comparison line up...

Now that you mentioned it Eddie does sound like a perfect candidate for T'lan Imass! :)

About the first guy, I always felt that the T'lan Imass were more Neanderthalic appearance, thicker face and blocky.

I like the desscated face and the flint sword. In characters like t'ool and Onrack I'd imagine the limbs to "barely" hold together. bones with strips and chunks. Think of the parts of your bod you protect the most with a weapon and render those with more flesh than the thighs shoulders and forearms which tend to get damaged more than anything else.

Just an idea...
“Behind this mask there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea... and ideas are bulletproof Gas-Fireproof.”
