So other than Apt, has anyone discovered who this mysterious "Circle Breaker" was now that we have all 10 books? I haven't seen anything, and I know you can't post the answer here, but if someone does know, I would like to know which book so I can get hunting. Thanks!Posted Image

You can find the answer in Gardens of the Moon.

Seriously? Then why has no one mentioned it? You could put a spoiler here then should you care to divulge your secret intel.

Hmm, several people mentioned it already. The second and third posts in this thread pretty much tell you all you need to know about who he is, and it's all info in the first book.

Edit: Oh, but if you were avoiding what was under Apt's spoiler thing, he was making a joke.

Ok, yeah, I was looking for his actual name, esp. if he shows up later. I will get to it later, but there is a character in DG that gets his face bitten off by a horse, and actually shows up again I think 2-3 books later. As I said, get to it later when I reread those. But I was trying to elucidate similar subtleties for this character as well. Thanks tho.

No, what I'm saying is that there is no big secret, the entirety of his story and information about him is available in the first book. Apt was joking. I don't think it's a spoiler to say that though since his conclusion is pretty well suggested by the text and esp. the Epilogue. I'm just saying there's no reason to dig through any later books specifically for info on him, so you don't waste your time. Kruppe's gift to him was anonymity in a far-away drama-free life, and that's what happens to him.

The biggest GotMism of all - a character retires from the turbulent life of a soldier to live out his days in peace, and actually gets that happy ending.

Retires? Hmm, maybe he'll show up in ICEs Darujhistan novel. Should the book feature a return of The Tyrant then circle breaker is high on my list of expected characters.
