Hi guys!

Steven Erikson put me in touch with ICE and we'll soon be doing a Q&A. So if anyone has questions for the co-creator of the Malazan universe, fire them my way!

We are also checking with PS Publishing to see if we could do a little contest. . .:)

Cheers,

Patrick

We know there are five books planned by you in the Malazan world, do you know roughly what's going to be written in them and how it will tie in with SE's work? Will reading your work be essential for understanding SE's novels, and vice versa will reading SE's work be essential for understanding your novels?

Do you intend to use characters from SE's books, and if so will they play major roles?

What do you view as the weakest Mbotf novel and why?
Similarily which do you see as the strongest?
Please don't give a cop-out answer such as "They are all just too good to decide" Like us fanatics you have to be aware that while the books are excellent flaws do exist
Thank you

We're given to understand that the Deck of Dragons is your *baby*.
Will there ever be a full unveiling of the entire Deck, or is that unlikely given it's amorphic nature?

Can you tell us the titles of your 5 novels (if you have them worked out), similar to SE's 10 books? WIll they be published on a schedule similar to the MBotF - 1 every year?

When you and SE were gaming in this world, which characters were his and which were yours? As a follow-up, what do you think of the way he's written your characters in his series?

SE often uses his dialogue to make not-so-hidden comments on various topics (religion, politics, sociological questions, etc.). Will you be following suit with your novels?

There seemed to be a few grammatical errors and such which made there way through the editing process in the previous versions of NoK, which put some people off, have these errors been fixed for the new printrun?

In NoK Dassem Ultor is described as having black eyes, while in HoC Traveller (who many on these forums speculate to be Dassem, and there seem to be many hints in the books to support this) has deep blue eyes, can we take this too mean the two are different people, that they are the same person whose eyes have changed colour, or they are the same person and you and SE got your wires crossed and mixed up eye colours?

Assuming that your five books will be a series with a running plot like Steve's MBotF, have you a name for the series? To what extent will your plot intersect with Steve's(which, I'll admit, is not yet obvious after six books)?

Steve said Whiskyjack won't appear again in MBotF. He also mentioned in another interview that Whiskeyjack was one of your characters. Is there any chance he's still yours and likely to turn up? I had to ask.

Are you jealous that Steve got in first, and is the main author assosiated with the series, or was that how it was always planned all along?
(Jealous is probably not the right word, but you get the jist...)

Will the 5 books that he will be writing be individual stories, or will they be linked by an overall storyline?

Are they going affordable for your average student when they come out or will it be like NOK and the SE's B&KB novella's that we will have to wait for a normal priced version. Or was NoK a tryout if your work would have succes and now you can have a go at it? Why was NoK first published on such a small edition?

Do you like what S.E has done with your characters e.g. Whiskeyjack , is there anything notable that you might have handled differently?

I think i read somewhere that you will be dealing more with the History of the Malazan Empire while S.E dealt with the present. I felt NoK confirmed this, but now i understand Return of the CG will be set after BH. Can you confirm what aspects of the Malazan world you will be dealing with.

Will we see any of the Old guard within the five books characters S.E only hints at Ameron and Toc the Younger.I understand Graymane will feature in Return of the CG will you be exploring the character of Aragan at any stage?

We've already been told by Steven Erikson that Fisher Kel, plays a role in one of your novels. Is there any information you can give us about Fisher?
And how do you feel about fan fiction?

Hi guys!

Just wanted to let you know that a list of 25 questions has been sent to Cameron. I told him to take his time, because I'd rather get longer and more interesting answers. If he does indeed accept to answer each question, this will make for a very extensive Q&A!:)

I will let you know as soon as the interview is available. I figure it will take him a couple of weeks. . .

Cheers,

Patrick
