So where/when will Pallor post their thoughts on Reapers Gale?....8D

I feel like Olar Ethil here.....pushing through the warrens without regard for the boundaries but I think this is a legitimate question.
Public knowledge: there's to be THE daddy of CONFLAGRATIONS in RG. Where? Likely where it's set: the Letheri continent.
So let the speculation RAGE!! What powers do you think will be in play? Mael and the CG? Jaghut and ???

Well, if that's where the Fourteenth are going then you'll have QB (+ Tayschrenn, potentially, perhaps he intends to take on the Warlock King), Bottle, Fid, Tavore, the Perish and the Eres'al (by proxy).
Plus Rhulad, Icarium & Mappo (fingers crossed they've been reunited), Karsa & Samar Dev, Feather Witch (with added Brys?), Tehol, Mael, the Nerek rejuvenated by the Eres (maybe). Those people are all heading towards or thought to still be on Lether.
Possibly Fear's party will return, with Silchas Ruin, Seren Padec, and maybe, just maybe, Scabby. And if they are there then I can see Trull & Rake getting drawn in for family reasons. And to complete the Tiste trio why don't we throw in Osric too?
Who else? Withal, Korlat's mother & Rake's children might head there too, which could bring in Korlat & Orfantal, and provide another reason for Rake to intervene (not that he seems to care much about his progeny).
This is getting kind of redundant, if you apply the convergence principle (power draws power) then pretty much every player will get drawn towards a gathering of this magnitude. It would provide an excellent opportunity for SE to cull some of his characters (which I think he needs to start doing in order to avoid this turning into another Wheel of Time). Plus it would be an event to rival the end of MoI in impact.
Any other characters who we can link to Lether, or reasonably expect to end up there?
edit: the last remnant of the KCCM was destroyed on the continent later known as Lether. Could that point to the Short-Tails having a special interest in the place? Also, Pust, Mogara and the Mule! are with Mappo, they could get tied up in things. If Pust just goes back to his temple in Seven Cities then he won't be getting to do much in the rest of the series.

You forgot Spite and Envy, they are pretty powerful in their own right and are going to converge at somepoint. It seems that convergence in this series is about opposits and family. So its not impossible for a three part convergence between Rake/Ruin and the Edur after all they're not going to be happy when they find out about Drift Avalii. Osric is a outside bet, but I suppose the longest outsider is Bloodeye, although I think he will be invloved somehow in the series. But then there are 3 SE books after Reapers Gale so it might not happen all at once.
On a seperate note I have an ex-girlfriend in Winnipeg who owes me a favour:ehh:

Tehol meets up with Quick and together they formulate an elaborate plan to topple the Edur empire.

I bet the convergence in Reapers Gale is really Tehol, QB, Pust & Kruppe all in the same room.
Then the reader's head explodes.

Ach! there he is!! Grab him....Abyyyyysss!!! Where are you????
OK Pallor, you've turned me into a masochist....here I am asking for bone. The Bonehunters left me....'unfilled'. So after books 1 and 2, what can you judiciously throw our way? Do your Oponn thing and decide, not on whether, but on WHAT to torture us with!

Is Quick Ben going to be with the Fourteenth? Last we saw, he was recovering by the First Throne. He might not be able to find the 14th again if it has sailed.
As to the convergence, we have just about every Malazan soldier we've met so far, minus the BBs in Darujhistan and Paran (though he could take his army there as well!), Icarium, Karsa, Rhulad, Mappo, Cutter, Pust, Tehol, Mael, the CG. Maybe Iron Bars will come back, too, just to beat everyone up. And Silchas Ruin's group. I'd like to see a reunion between Rhulad and Udinaas. I also want Kallor to return. He's been out of the series for the last three books, so it's about time he came back.

Avoid being seen as racist by saying, "I'm not a racist, but ..." prior to making a racist comment.

Please, by all means post a taster or two!
It'll probably result in tortured anguish and an increased desire to read the book immediately - but I'm just too curious. This inflicted torture should be reason enough to post, surely.
Has RG been completed? Is it still set for a march 2007 release? (according to amazon)
Or maybe I should just try and be patient.

You may say that now, but when you've suffered under Kallor's tender ministrations for a while as the rest of us have, you will change your mind.... he is purest darkest evil

....and it's book three of RG he's talking about getting... damn him!

That's just asking for trouble Hume..... you've been away too long man, and forgotten how truly bad he can be.
Good to see you btw
It's got to be Silchas and Kettle and Fear...
The Edur Empire and their Letherii subjugates...
Shurq? Tehol? and perhaps the 14th shows up...?
but whatever, it's all good

Hmm personally I cant remember going off on brain eating on the Kallor guy ever or anything else of that nature.. But thats another story
Anyways for some reason I always figured that Reapers gale was prodimately Genabackis..
Another later book would be letheras..
Another later one Darujistan..
I am no longer fussed at who is in the book.. good to speculate, but dont care.. either way it will be good..
Oh and a forthcomming review of Bonehunters should be comming from...

No, no, no, no, nooooo guys! Not convergence....CONFLAGRATION! I understood it to be sorcery off the conventional charts (as if Lether hasn't seen enough)!
So who we're talking about (I assume) is pretty darn.....well, 'hectic'! Start booking your tickets Hume...Lether's the place to be.
