Tayschrenn says that he killed Nightchill, and Nightchill killed A'Karonys, but what about the two others? I can understand Tayschrenn killing Hairlock (because Hairlock pretty much deserved it) and Calot (just to isolate Tattersail further), but the attack that killed Calot was aimed at Tattersail, and came from one of the other mages. Why would Tayschrenn want to kill Tattersail?

The Enfilade doesn't really make any sense until you read further in the series...and even then it's not at all clear what happened.
