God, I HATE being on dialup. Still waiting for the bloody pages to finish downloading ... :)

Covers look good though, but yeah, I agree Pug should be shorter. Oh well, if that's the worst thing I can come up with, it should be good. :D

EDIT: Argh! red crosses of death! Pages 4 and 5. :)

Cheers,

Gee, those pages actually look pretty good!:p Don't know if the series will be that great, but the samples are neat enough!

On Feist-related news, if anyone is interested, HarperCollins have just given me the "go ahead" to proceed with yet another contest!:p This time, the prize is a hardcover copy of the US edition of Feist's Flight of the Nighthawks. The book is scheduled to be released on March 29th. Hence, this contest will run for about two weeks, so that the name of the lucky winner will be announced prior to the novel hitting the shelves of bookstores nationwide. As always, check out the blog to register. . .

Good luck to all the participants!

Patrick

I know nothing of Feist. Should I be reading this series?

His first novel, "Magician" is one of the most highly-rated and best-selling fantasy novels ever. The next 2 in the original trilogy ("Silverthorn" and "A Darkness at Sethanon") are very good as well.

The rest of his stuff is quite good too, but have been considered a little hit-and-miss at times. His most recent stuff is the best he's done in a while.

All set in the same milieu, except for a very good "dark fantasy" called "Faerie Tale" set in contemporary Earth.

Cheers,

La Sombra (unapologetic fanboy), has photos of him with The Great Man on 2 different booksigning tours :p

Well, upon sound advice, I have picked up Magician: Apprentice today at the bookstore. Am reading the first chapter.

I like Fantus' expression - captures what I remember from the book. Although, wasn't he supposed to be a little portly or something? Still, good job. I like the way the ConDoins actually resemble each other too. :p

Alas, I do not have access to a scanner. Sorry. :p

Hope you enjoy Magician, QT. :p

Cheers,

La Sombra, should get a commission for this ...

Okay, I am about halfway through Apprentice, and I bloody love it! It's so great. I know that the ideas of elves and dwarves and humans and whanot is kinda trite and people these days are trying to be more original and whanot, but whatis great about this series (so far anyway) is that those things mentioned above are simply a setting and a world, but the story in the Riftwar books seem entirely unique, and I find myself loving every minute of it.

The scene with Pug and Carline prior to his departure with the Duke is so priceless...it reminded me of my first kiss many moons ago. Perfect.

So now I can't wait to not only finish, but start to buy the comic when it comes out (which will be when?), cause lets face facts, it looks incredible!!

Quicktidal my friend it's a great book and it only gets better. I've seen those pages already with Pug and Princess Carline and I have to say that they are beautifully rendered

It will be out in April my friend and thanks for your support, I really appreciate it ;)

Support is no problem Khan, cause quite frankly it is deserved!

Almost done book 1, probably will be by Friday midday (on my lunch at work), and then I'll be ready for book 2.

Thanks for the date on the comic bro!
