Finished Fall of Hyperion last night, man those books were good!! I haven't had tears in my eyes reading a book since the Crippled God!! Gonna give it a while before I take on Endymion.

Starting the Shadows of the Apt series again, so I am on EMPIRE IN BLACK & GOLD by Adrian Tchaikovsky. Looking forward to getting well sunk into this series.

Finished Heroes Die. I had a different view on a lot of the philosophy than I did when I first read it. The fact that I've read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress really opened me up to a lot of little tidbits as well (insert obligatory fuck here). Now I'm starting The Cold Commands. Been looking forward to this one.

Finished _Snuff_, Pratchett's latest. Good stuff, not up there with the best DW, but not the worst by any means.

Yep. I read the stories along with the series in chronological order. I also read Even Hand.
The i regret to inform you that you're as screwed as the rest of us.
If it helps, the shaking and night sweats mostly stop eventually.
Just read through the whole of the main series plus Side Jobs. Up to date and desperate for more. How can I get to Even Hand? How can I wait for the next one?

Same here. The anthology itself isn't worth the dollars, but Even Hand is awesome Butcher goodness.

Just got Snuff from the library, so I'm putting Consider Phlebas down. I always try and read and return my library books first, especially new releases like this. I hate to be that guy that holds it for 3 weeks. Also, listening to Wolves of Calla while I work. I tried listening to the Warded Man but I found the characters so cliche as to be laughable. I'm astonished at it's high ratings at Amazon and Goodreads. I mean, it was not good at all; the one dimensional characters, the pointless sex scenes, the time jumping, and character view point confusion; hell, I found very little good I could say about it. I guess since I've only been reading the best of the best since I found this site a couple of years ago, I've come to demand a hell of a lot more out of books.

Finished _Cordelia's Honor_, an omnibus version of Lois McMaster Bujold's first two novels (by internal chronology) in her Barrayar/Vorkosigan series (_Shards of Honor_ and _Barrayar_). And now I want to get all the Miles Vorkosigan novels (that I haven't currently got) and go on a hyperactive mutant dwarf space admiral binge!

I'm pushing the 60% mark on Stephenson's Reamde. Man, it's slow going. I mean, I've read plenty of 1,000+ page books. Heck, I've read at least a couple of full-size hardcovers (as opposed to MMPBs) that crack the 1,000-page mark. But those usually into the epic fantasy genre; this (as opposed to his rambling and enjoyable Cryptonomicon) is pretty much a straightforward thriller. It's great fun, but man, it's just taking forever to get through.

Finally finished The Passage. Did not realize it was the start of a trilogy until afterward, but glad to find that out. The ending is nice -- quite nice, in fact and packs a punch -- but it's fairly ambiguous in spots. This book itself could have been divided into its own trilogy though, as it's long and has three distinct movements/acts. I have to say I enjoyed it quite a lot, and am eager to read the next book when it comes out.
Am now reading book 2 of The Long Price. Finished "prolog" and I'm already liking it more than the first book.

I saw VIA your GoodReads feed that this seemed to be taking an excessive amount of time for you. It's why I'm dubious of reading it. Let me know how solid it is at the end if you don't mind.
