Hi guys!
In my last review I claimed that Talon of the Silver Hawk was Raymond E. Feist's worst novel to date. I take it back! King of Foxes now holds that dubious honor. How the author managed to produce an inferior sequel is beyond me. Feist had certainly not set the bar too high with its predecessor. Hence, to have failed to raise the level of quality of Conclave of Shadows with this second volume does say a lot about this series.
Frankly, if fans were not adamant about the fact that Feist's latest, Flight of the Nighthawks, is quite a good yarn, I'm persuaded that I wouldn't even bother with the third installment of this mediocre trilogy.
For the full review, you can always check the blog. . .

I was reading Teh Bonehunters, but I finished it already
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

It will be interesting to see how Morgans fantasy effort turns out. My bet is that it will be better than 9 out of 10 fantasy books (not hard to predict hehe).

Rignt now I'm reading Steven Erikson's Bonehunters, as welk as Jacqueline Carey's forthcoming Kushiel's Scion, while stealing sometime to dive into a new PKD collection coming out soon, Vintage PKD.
Recently finished Patrica Mckillip's Solstice Wood, which I really enjoyed.

While waiting for my copy of the Bonehunters! I am reading "The Twelve Caesars" by Suetonius. I've read the section on Julius Caesar so far. It's really interesting and good for a chuckle too.

Wait till you get to Caligula and Nero. Vespasian has some good one liners also.

Reading the "Bonehunters" by Robert Jordan.
This is is Jordans finest work and follows his excellent "Feast of Crows" and "Goblet of Fire".

Well Since the Last time I posted in this thread I have read;
Stalingrad - Antony Beever, A brillian historical Book on the Russian fight against the Germans
Urth of the New Sun - Gene Wolfe, The Sequal to the BOok of the New Sun, Excellen Book as well, Wolfe is easilly of the best writers I have read, also a big favourite.
Altered Carbon - Richard Morgan, Fairly decent for a first book. Quite liked the way it ended. Sort of slow at the start in my opnion though.
Hegemony or Survival - Noam Chomsky, My first Chomsky book I have read. It has convinced me to read his earlier stuff as well. Most of its fairly good, some of it at times can be a little hard to swallow a few of his sources and claims are a little questionable but for the most part its a good book
Am now eagerly awaiting to recieve in the mail;
Crime and Punishment
The Collapse of Globalism.
