Just about to start Charles Stross' "Singularity Sky". Hopefully it'll be a good read, I've heard a lot about the author:)

Desperation - Steven King
Didn't like it.
I guess I was tired of his works by then? (The Dark Tower I am not counting).

Never read the Dark Tower, but Desperation is definitely one of his good ones.. working my way back through a few of my favourites .. so gotta decide what's next..... It, Salem's Lot, or Tommyknockers

I would say read IT. It is next to the Stand imho. The Stand is my favorite King's book. Then goes IT. I have not finished The Dark Tower yet, so I cannot say anything about it. The first 4 books that I have read are very good, but some people say that the last 3 are very bad, so I cannot judge it yet. I liked Tommynockers more than Salem's Lot.

I'm wavering over whether to order the KB&B books, because they're about £15 each, will take about 6 weeks to get to me (if they do at all) and there's a chance I'll only be able to get The Healthy Dead, which as it's the second one I don't want to read first.
Any thoughts?

Beat up relatives and get them to order them all for you as a Christmas present. Easy.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

6 weeks? Why the hell? All the sellers on Amazon marketplace for Blood follows are uk-based, so I'd say about a week at most...

Why thank you. For a gooner, you're almost a decent human being, which is rather shocking;)

The feeling's mutual Broody. ;)
Living near Tottenham gives you the knowledge that there are shockingly few sane Spurs fans (which makes sense comes to think about it) but you seem to be one of the more lucid ones.
