( why does guard read fine but always feel wrong when I'm writing/typing it?)

About 30% into Small Favor, about 50 pgs left in Cold Copper Tears, and about 26 hours into listening to A Storm of Swords. Just finished with the Red Wedding - what the fuck? Is this the most tragic fantasy or what? And, holy shit is that man vulgar. I thought Richard Morgan could push it but he's Disney in comparison.

No, I'm using the term vulgar as it's defined. I thing GRRM is much more vulgar than Morgan. Much more. Morgan bothered me a little, (Rigil, with the smell of shit wafting through the air) but it doesn't compete with GRRM, he almost made me walk away, but that's my opinion, for whatever the fuck that counts.

I don't think the character was fucking a dog - the character was torturing it. If I remember right, Morgan made the character a politician. Or maybe that was the guy in the next one over.

It's not so much what he was actually doing, it's what Mal chooses to believe he was doing.

I also love how he put it as catching the man fucking the dog. As if the guy was red faced about the whole affair. Slowly letting the dog go, rubbing the back of his head with his hand and dragging his foot backwards and forwards on the ground as if to say, "You got me..." with a sheepish smile.

Gonna have to read Altered Carbon again.

(PS, Reading King of Thorns, 100 pages in its shitty so far. But I didn't really care much for Prince of Thorns, so I don't know why I thought this would be diffrent.)

Finished up White Knight over the weekend. Moved on to Small Favor. Man, I thought these books went quick the first time I read them. I'm just flying through them now.

I have Forge of Darkness warming up in the on deck circle. Should be too long before I finish up my Dresden rereads.
