@ Marduk. I presume thats Wagners lyrics
@Morgoth. Thats Wildes finest work apart from "Ballad of Reading Gaol". The film of his life with Stephen Fry is very good also.
Just finished "Anvil Of The World". Now reading a few short stories from GRRMs "Rretrospective" including "Song for Lysa" and "Ice Dragons".Then starting Gene Wolfes "Books of the New Sun" series ; part one "The Shadow Of The Torturer"

@Oponn. I'm also a huge Reynolds fan. Although see my comments in the book review thread for final thoughts and reservations on "Absolution Gap".
@Snake : Read the "Philips" in Cicero. Years ahead of their time in incisive and targeted polemic. I studied Cicero for "A level" and found his life to be as eventful as his writing. A great man for greater times.
Finished "A deepness in the Sky" ( For more see the Vinge thread ).
Started "Making History" by Stephen Fry...trip to Bruges anyone ?

Yeah, John Monash was a hero. Too bad more people don't know about him.
Currently reading "Rain Fall" by Barry Eisler, having just finished a Tom Holt omnibus of "Odds and Gods" and "Here Comes the Sun". Funny stuff

*Sigh @Pale & Dros* I like the sound of that book, but (if I recall correctly) I think it's a little too expensive at the moment.
Well, I finished re-reading MoI and cried once again over the death of Itkovian. Lucky I was at home and not on the train. Now re-reading House of Chains - when you're on a good thing, why not stick to it?

@Mort
You sod! As usual, the bookstore folks didn't know what I was on about, so tonight I'll be starting some random book I grabbed in disgust at the lack of Market Forces. I'll let y'all know what it is as soon as I find out...

Jonathan Stange and Mr Norrel by Susanna Clarke. Quite interesting, but a bit overwrought.

In between House of Chains and Midnight Tides I took and hour and read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Good book.
Loved House of Chains. Midnight Tides seems pretty darn good, too. Of course.

Finished Neuromancer earlier today, didn't like it at all. Managed to drag myself all the way through it though.
Reading 'Salems Lot now and already a much better novel than "Neuromancer"

I'm in dual-reading mode, switching between The Secret History by Tartt and The Golden Age by Wright. Both very enjoyable.
Also starte Virtues of War by Pressfield but found mysel "not in the mood" for it - which is a little weird considered the subject.
