@Oppon

Since it's a reread, it must be a piece of work that you enjoy. Why do you like it, and would you recommend it? I had actually grabbed them from the shelves just recently, but I ended buying two of the Michelle West series.

I hear so much about Wolfe, but I have a copy of Latro in the Mist, and, man I absolutely cannot finish it. I wish I knew why.

Thanks

The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber. It's a historical set in 1875 London, about a prositute's rise through society, and it is massive. Really enjoying it so far.

Also The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. Pleasant read.

just finished "shadowmancer," a book by an auther i had never heard of, and wouldn't have minded if it stayed that way. Not that it was a bad book, but it had absolutely no impact on me whatsoever. had the main characters lived or died i wouldn't have cared. i hate books like that. On to Vally of the kings.

On my fourth reread of Memories of Ice.
That's what I love with SE, the books get better with every reread.

@Brood. I've just finished Iron Council...don't worry no spoilers. Approach the read as a politcal-Marxist -Acid-trip, then perhaps it will make sense.

Your Runagete Rampant correspondent.

Reading a few tales from Gaimans "Smoke and Mirrors" ahh.. Bliss.

It is, I saw my box set of the 5 books and thought. MUST READ. Every time I read the part about the poetry it has me in stitches.

Just finished Gates of Fire, by Pressfield. A couple reviews are in the Book Club thread.

Now starting New Spring. After 4 chapters, I am pretty disappointed. It seems like its all a rehash, only before the first book. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Glad I picked it up used for 1/2 price.
