You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Falco, I loved Cloud Atlas - probably in my top 10 books - but I've always hesitated before picking up Ghostwritten or number9dream. Are they as good?

I'm a bit dubious of C. Tolkien's milking of his father's works, so I'm waiting until the library picks it up.
In the meantime, I'm reading a couple of random history books, don't even remember the names.

Well... It's mostly all the original Tolkien's work... Christopher only "edited" it... the way he did the Silmarillion. Not a slightest plot-line, dialogue or any other detail is changed...

So I finished Fool Moon by Jim Butcher.
I am very impressed. while at the heart of them they are Detective novels that provide an easy read and some fun, They also have a deeper side with complex emotion shown and real dark, gritty characters.
I don't normally buy into this kind of fiction as the whole Supernatural thing makes me roll my eyes, (I know I know, how is it different from Fantasy? I don't know
) But I find myself really liking Harry Dresden and am eager to find out what he's going to be up against next and maybe get some light shed on his past.
But it must wait a few days/weeks, as my local Book store doesn't have the third book, 1 2 4 6 7 and 8 yes, but 3? Thats asking to much. Learn how to keep stock, fuckers...
I'm also downloading the TV series to see what becomes of it. Hope its good.
And - Yes there's more, I bought my first China Mieville novel: Perdido Street Station. Heard he's good. I hope he is... I need a pick me up.

Just finished reading Temeraire. Good fun, if not much more than that - better than I had expected it to be. Now I'm re-reading 'The Man in the High Castle'. Philip K. Dick rules.
