Yeah, It must be the most versatile of mythos.. umh.. es? It is elegant enough to fit onto pretty much anything.

Started Ex-Heroes last night, and am loving it. I stayed up way too late (thanks, Daylight Savings lag!) and am two-thirds of the way through. It's about a band of superheroes trying to protect an enclave of humanity in Los Angeles after the zombie apocalypse. It's so much fun. Great characters.

I'm thinking this may be my next audible purchase. I was looking for a book similar to Ready Player One and somehow Peter Clines's 14 showed up on my amazon recommendations. Got Ernest Cline and Peter Clines confused and started checking out his books. Anyway, yeah, think I'm gonna check this out next.

Now diving into the release of Robert Silverberg's historical fiction novel, Lord of Darkness. Good stuff, two chapters in.

Starting Ex-Heroes today (audible) having finished This Book is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch it, the sequel to John Dies at the End. I liked it a lot but I'll say that if the first book's humor wasn't your thing, you most definitely won't like this one. Also listening to the 3rd book in the Gap Cycle - continues to impress and Gardens of the Moon. (If you're curious about how I could be listening to 3 books, let me explain: Gap cycle is my driving, shopping, and errands - Ex-Heroes is when I workout [one hr. a day], and Gardens of the Moon is fishing, yard work, and outdoors stuff.)

Reading A Once Crowded Sky, Raft, and Look to Windward. I'm barely into each but they're all pretty good thus far.

I finished The Ghost Brigades during lunch. It was ok, I didn't warm to Jared like I did John in The Old Man's War.

Just finished Cracked Pot Trail, and I have to say it was just fantastic. A bit hard to get the grip on from time to time because of the language. But now I'm moving on to an easier read with Karen Miller's the Innocent Mage.

[Defiance]

A Game of Thrones for at least the 10th time. This time I will re-read the entire series! I always seem to get caught up in something midway through the 2nd book, and as a result I've read A Game of Thrones more times than I've read every other book in the series combined. Not complaining, though; I fucking love the book, despite the fact that, given a list of chapters, I could give a pretty accurate summary of what happens in each one.

finally finished with Prince of Thorns, and a few days ago with The Warrior's Apprentice, busy days have kept me from reading straight, now that i have started Bujold's Vorkosigan, i'm now excited to read the rest of the series,

RE POT: it's brutal in it's own way, and it's short but fast-paced, i felt a lot happened within its 300+ pages, now i want to read King of Thorns, and will be eagerly awaiting the release of Emperor,

my only quips/nitpick, would have to be:

but my point is the terms mentioned was a little sci-fi/modern for me on a medieval/fantasy setting,

I haven't read King yet but there are lots of big hints in Prince about the setting.

Just had to mention it since it is one of the great parts of the books in my oppinion, reading about stuff we know in reality under one name, then seen in the eyes of the protagonists for whom they seem fantastic/magical and are known under other names.

True... AMoL and Buchanan's HEART OF THE WORLD may have topped up my fantasy jones for a while, and i think that despite my general disillusionment with most superhero-centric comics, King's ONCE CROWDED SKY left me wanting more and Clines nails that along with a dose of zombie.
