Yeah, they made the wrong call to treat it like a normal game. Fly 15 hours, stay at the hotel, play a game the next day, fly home.

Obviously I’m doing the week 1 overreaction haha and don’t think this play is indicative of the rest of the season playing in the US. Still a baffling choice when the 49ers had a week to acclimate.

I guess they did the same thing last year when they played the Jags in London, and they smashed the Jags so they though that a 10 hour flight would be the same as 16+ hour flight to Melborne or Sydney. Probably won't make that mistake again. Now both teams have to come back and get prepared to play in the US. I hope that they both took off as soon as they got out of the game. Also the 49ers Defense looked SICK

I think they may have done it to minimise jet lag afterwards, which the 49ers will have to deal with after staying a week in Australia.
