Hey guys. I've just begun the 6. book. English isn't my main language, so I didn't understand something. In the prologue Corporal Hellian is talking to her subordinate Urb, and she complains:
"One thing's for sure, we'd better set stones to our swords, Urb."
What does "set stones to our swords" meani?

Sharpen the swords using a whetstone.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
