I lean towards either Buelhman or Gwynne myself, though if more people want Chambers I'm not opposed. Any of the three would be a new author to me.

Yeah man, let’s do this!
I’ll say Gwynne or psalms for the wild built for the second read are good choices.

Seems we all have different preferences. Rate which of the three you'd pick first.
1. Black Tongued Thief
2. Psalm of the Wild-built
R. The Shadow of the Gods.

Shogun, Black Tongued Thief, and Shadow of the Gods are all on my TRP, so I’d be up for this. MBotF reread was fun when we did that.
Slight preference for Black TonguedThief over Shadow of the Gods for the modern book. Psalm coming in third.

Let's give people until Monday evening to check the forums, decide if they want to participate and pick a book.
I'll make two threads for the books we'll be reading.
Right now it sounds like we're reading Shogun and probably Black Tongued Thief but let's see if the tide turns.

They're all new to me so I'm up for any. Shogun has been on the to read list for a long time so I'll pick up a copy now as it's half price to normal times on Kobo.
Edit: Can't seem to find black tongued thief on Kobo, anyone recommend a non amazon place to get it?

I may join late. Flood recovery projects are still being handed out, so I won't know for another week or two how swamped work is going to be.
I'm fine with Shogun, and no preference on the newer book.

Seems like there's already a majority in favor of Black Tongued Thief and Shogun.
I'll make two threads for the books.
3 month deadline.
All spoilers to be put in boxes and labelled with chapter and/or page number.

You're welcome. Did you find an alternative to Amazon for Black Tongue Thief?

Not yet. I'll do some Internet searching when I have some headspace and find a copy. Got Shogun so I can join the book club when that gets going. I expect QT might jump on that straight away.

Yeah, there's no rush. Feeling an eye of the world reread having just finished WoT series 1 so I may start after that.

Ebook version on Hive if you use that - not compatible with a Kindle, I've had to download the Adobe digital Editions app to read stuff from there (they do a guide for it)

The Freeware app Calibre will read any ebook format, plus a few others. And it will also convert from one format to another.
I love it, read so many books this way.

I did spot The Blacktongue Thief at Barnes & Noble yesterday. It looks like it's only out in hardcover that way though.

Had a look at Blacktongue Thief and it sounds like something I'm in the mood for now, so bought it. We'll see if I can manage it in three months. I didn't get around to reading much last year and I'm itching to remedy that, but I need something short and fun to get started and also I miss talking to folks on here
