do you actually have to be in asia to be considered asian?
Question:

Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?

If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

Cuddington to be more precise thus benefitting from not having a view either of the ex-ICI chemical works in Northwich itself or the "Bhopal of the North" which is Runcorn. Getting to and from Manchester for gigs is also not too bad and access either to trains, planes and motorways is pretty good. So all in all, far worse places to live!

I be livin' at the top of the world (more so than any of you, at least; check the map). That discussion that's been going on between people from northern England/Scotland and southern England makes me giggle.

Dont be silly, no-one wants to live in the north! Unless they're insane or masochists. So Tiste maybe, yes, but no-one else. :D :p

The argument comes more from the fact that the north suffers from comparative high levels of deprivation, hairy, ruddier, less well-educated inhabitants, and dodgy, often incomprehensible accents. And the fact they're a drain on the economy, dole scum :D

The south on the other hand, is full of pansies who think they're better than northerners, and londoners (like me) who think we're better than everybody else, but prefer southerners to northerners because....well, they're closer. :p

Well, you're right about that. But no one wants to live in England in general. So what's your point?

I recollect similar type of banter between those living above the Arctic Circle and those below - I suppose that would make Oslo residents soft, nampy pamby southerners.... Maybe that is why you get painting like the Scream. Or is that immediately after he has found out the price of a pint in Oslo?

Don't have anything special against those living below the polar circle. I find people from Oslo and eastern Norway to generally be more boring to chat with than the rest of the country, people from Bergen and western Norway to be snotty brats, and from the middle of Norway to be a mite stupid. But nothing in particular agaist all of them as a group.

So similar arguments to TT's then... The joys of regional biases - now I had better get back to practicing the ancient regional martial art of Ecky Thump
