Does anyone still have it? I note that the main Malazan site no longer links to it and I can't find it here on the forum either. Patch has uploaded it somewhere.

I wonder if it will finally be included in TBH.

I was over on the Westeros (George R.R. Martin) site and they were wondering about it too.

All Elder Gods have Draconian blood. Mael is an Elder God and so is naturally an Elient. Oh and not pure dragon if thats what you were refering to. The Elder Gods like the Tiste Elient are mixed blood, or so people keep telling me.
Rake and Envy do have children and if that seems surprising perhaps you should read MoI again;) Their relationship was clearly more than that of just travelling buddies lol
Anomandaris beside Envy and Anomandaris from Mother Dark are the same person(or well Andii in this case:p)

Too bad we lost the discussion we had when we first got the Tree...I see it repeating all over again. But hey perhaps new info will come up this time:D

Like Sytkan here pointed out (albeit in a little non-literary way :D), it is Rake

I never realised Mael was Draconian... makes sense now I think about it...
I would like to meet Rake and Envys children Phaed and Nimander Golit. Coming from Rake and Envy, I would bet they were pretty tough kids.

well don't think so - about the meeting them part. If you remember from House of Chains we find out that his chlidren are exactly like him, in personality that is, and they're pretty much wandering across the relams or wherever. Besides most of Rake's direct descents are on Drift Avalli. There is a Phaed on the island, but I'm not sure wether it is the Phaed on the Tree or just a grand child of Rake as Cutter says that the Andii there are all Rake's grandkids and what not.

Plus...having Rake's kids in the game would kinda sour things in my opinion lol.

fwiw...as Jen points out, we've already been introduced briefly to Phaed.
Is she grand-daughter or daughter to Anomandaris?
Depends on whether Andarist told the truth doesn't it? not an important issue as we know SE likes to keep things er.... fluid.
I do think she is the daughter of Rake and Envy.
Now, the other thing is..... Nimander Golit... that's a lot of name to give a character who will not appear... so my guess is.... he will.... if that makes sense.. :D
The next question is .... will they be soletaken?
I would think they were born after Tiam's demise... therefore no juice? So my hunch would be no. In which case they would have the Andii traits, with probably a decent amount of sorcerous powers.
Another one for the crazy theories thread.. :D

damm Shame the lat thread Got deleted.

But Yeh I remember mentioning that its a matter of how you interpret the draconion tree. I dont personally see Mael as a Draconian Soletaken myself unless we see otherwise. Kilimandaros was I think. No evidence to show that most other elder gods were Draconion nature though.
I think people also interpreted to as MD being omnipotent over the elder gods, I personally didnt see it that way either. I think it comes down to font size of it as well and placement of the tree.
But yeh I suprised at the Envy/Ano kids thing myself.

About Mother Dark, from how Draconus talked about her and Warren of Darkness and what not, I always got the feeling the Elders held her in high regard.

Yeh but I cant really recall any time that an Elder God talks about mummy dark, so in my mind to the elder gods MD is just another omnipotent being in the universe not The omnipotent being in the universe.

Another prob with the Draconian tree is we still dont have stuff on Togg/Fanderay and Eres'al goddess (forgot her name, or that might be it, the one the nerek worship, Goddess of Time, Rapist of Trull).
Those two predate just about everything we know in the malaz world. While Togg/Fanderay are probably secular to the world of malaz and not present in other worlds. I thinks its possible our litte time witch may be. but thats just speculation.

Its the same with the elder Gods they are only on this world as far as we know so they would only be elder gods on malaz world. Which brings in the Crippled God, equal or more in power to the Elder Gods but from another world entirelly. And he was in a war of his own in that world.

It appears to me that deities are secular to their worlds and like in MT tides are creations of the worshippers and gain power in some way. And if need be cross worlds or their worshippers decide to and they abondend them; ie Tiste edur, adii.

Not strictly true though Hume. We know the Elder gods can cross worlds/realms. For instance.. K'rul and the Eleint.
The Tiste races are also not of the Malaz world.
