Excel Saga is without doubt one of the funniest cartoons I've seen, besides certain episodes of Family Guy.

FMA is one of the best series. I only wish that they had made it a little more dark and serious.

As for me, I am working my way through Desert Punk and Gankutsuou: The Count Of Monte Cristo. Gankutsuou is simply amazing. I am in love with it.

Desert Punk is just funny.

I bought this Japanese movie in Laser called Casshern. It?s one of the most amazing movies I?ve ever seen. The only way I can describe it is The Japanese Sci-Fi version of Sin City. It was all shot in front of a green screen and you?d swear you were watching an Anime movie.

You can check it out at www.casshern.com

has FLCL been mentioned in this thread? If not, now it has? And its good? And the new Beck album was released today? And llamas live in the Andes? And we carves them up for their skins? And we sew sweaters? And the State is no longer on television? And why not?

The soundtrack is awesome :p

I never saw the anime series or read the manga but I thought the movie was great - it's a different style and I can see how you'd be left a bit underwhelmed but I was happy with it.

Ninja Scroll ok, FotNS imho too weak. Full Metal Alchemist is good.

Deathnote is a really popular manga right now that has just started as an Anime, and will also be a movie in November. I imagine it'll be big. I accidentally watched the first episode the other night and then when out and bought the first couple volumes of the manga.

I've never seen either of them as anime, but One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist are great manga (still going at vol. 44 and 15 respectively).

I saw Casshern last year, and while it was visually impressive, the end was just pretty ridiculous. FF7AC was also amazing to watch, especially since that was my first PSX game back in then. Fortunately there wasn't any need for a plot either.

I actually don't watch much anime anymore, though I went through a horrible stage of watching Prince of Tennis every week a few years ago. I guess my fav anime are all of Miyazaki's stuff--especially Spirited Away-- (though I haven't seen his son's bastardization of Earthsea yet), Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Cowboy Bebop. Most of the anime that I've seen has been since I got to Japan, rather than the other way around.

I just got into Full Metal Alchemist while waiting for the Naruto fillers to end and a few days ago I downloaded the raw version of Death Note. Ive read the manga and loved it. Once the translations come out more people might get into it since it was really good.

I love Bleach, Akira, Naruto, FMA, Blade of the Immortal, GiTS, COwboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo.

The last episode of that series (well, actually the whole series, but the last ep. in particular) is so damn awesome/emotional/anything/everything that I could die, really. Love it.

i'm watching Full Metal Panic again :p the Second Raid is just so damn brilliant...

and i'm about to watch the first Death Note ep. apparently, the manga was a hit.
Hellsing Ultimate OVA's are plain awesome _o_

and, is anyone following BLEACH? i practically hate every filler they air. i had high hopes for those with Byakuya (d'oh), but as it turns out, ep 98, with Zaraki, i think that's the best filler yet. damn them, i love byakuya ;(
