It does sound intriguing, and you've just set my mind spinning, as to what could be more interesting than an e-book....
Two e-books.
Sounds intersting and its not to long a wait.

pssst...canadians only...the rest of you cover your eyes...
'The Dark' is a new science fiction video broadcast on the web (and the web only)...the writers include SE, David Keck, Ian C. Esslemont, Mark Paxton-MacRae and your own Malaclypse (and, eventually, episodes by some of the other major names in science fiction)...access to the high definition weekly serial is by subscription only...that's all i am permitted to reveal at this time...
ok...you can uncover your eyes now...

any chance that when you say 'subscription' you actually mean subscription for those who 1.dont post on the forums - 2. are not cool or 3. are not called garden_rake?
....... and is there anything to be said for a horsedrawn carriage?

Well I allready dropped $73 CDN on Night of Knives off amazon, whats another couple bucks for a subscription to this greatness? the only thing stopping me is the fact that my home computer has no sound card, and trying to get streaming video on this piece is the equivalent of watching grass grow, mowing it down, and reseeding the lawn for a 2nd round...
Question... if Patch is free to indulge my curiousity that is... do you know if this serial will be live-action, animated or cgi? or a combination, ala the animated lotr with those smooth @$$ silhouette scenes? every film project could use more of that.

Any chance we'll be able to buy it all in one chunk at the end or something if we don't have the ability to subscribe?

im a tea drinker myself but i get your point
like the sound of brood's idea though, being able to have a complete series for £x amount, probably at the end of the series, sounds very good...
so patch anyone we know starring in it? cruise, pitt, mr T??

i am workig on having dvd compilations, of course...but the system is subscription based, so if too many folks wait for the dvds, there won't be any...still, your subscription includes a very cool set of customized dog tags, a chance to win a signed erikson novel (1 in 10) and a chance to be flown from wherever you are in the world to our set, an 'extra' role and maybe...maybe...a chance to meet ...him. that's all in addition to being an active part of a lively community, with access to our blogs and forums, webcams on set, etc...the list does go on...

@garden rake - Mr. T doesn't star in enough stuff, that's for sure. I pity the aliens who attack my ship! I pity them...
@patch - if this is really coming out on Dec 1 why haven't we heard anything through other sites? And wouldn't you have a site dedicated to the series that you'd put up prior to release? Where's that?

OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.
