So I thought of something while I was on my kindle the other night...you don't SEE your E-book ToRead pile.

Yeah, you can scan through it as you look for something to read...but it doesn't register in an amount does it? It doesn't SIT in piles on your floor or shelf and nag you to read them like your normal pile, right? Out of sight, often out of mind.

Combine this with the sheer amount of ebook sales and freebies you can get on the daily....

And you can end up with a bigger list than you thought...

So I thought it would be fun if we posted our ToRead/Unread ebooks off our reading devices to see the sheer volume of them...as I'm sure I'm not alone in being staggered by how many unread ebooks I have:

spoilered for size (Note: Most of these I only paid between $1-3 each, and in some cases free...I'd say maybe only 6-8 books on here were bought at regular prices)

Spoiler

Go for it people, list out your unread ebooks and see how truly unwieldy the lists are!

How did you make that list, QT? Surely you didn't type it out by hand.

153 books... I'm not typing that out by hand. If estimate that a good 10-20% ill never read or the desire for reading them has passed.

I'd day quite a high proportion of those are first in series books too that I've picked up on the cheap.

I've got 81 read and 270 unread in my kindle.

I'm going to check my account tomorrow and see if there's a way to copy paste.

A bunch of them are short stories from TOR but like you said, those free or 1-5 USD sales add up.

at least 30 dead trees in the "spare room" (read book dump until book shelves built)

Ummmm so when I got my Kindle someone gave me a USB with about 1000 books on and I just dumped it on there so yeah I've got a lot. I feel a bit ashamed about this, at the time I was more into downloading stuff and I know if someone offered me the same today I'd refuse.

But they're still there... And I'm not typing them out.

My first thought on reading this list of books was not the many unread ebooks I have, but oh this looks like a good list of books to buy as the majority of the ones I have read I have enjoyed. I have an ebook problem...

I have 1 unread book that's mine. I share an account with my mother who has an incurable romance novel addiction, so there's several dozen of those I will never read (not bc romance novels are bad, it's just that's not appealing to me).

I share the account bc she borks the whole thing sometimes and it's easier to just reach in and undo everything if we share the account.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Yeah ... just start with the entire Bean Free Library and sort of run further amok from there.

I have no frickin' idea and I'm not about to depress myself even further by counting. My dead tree unread pile is bad enough.

There's a reason I changed my name to Tsundoku. :p

I checked Amazon's website and I can copy paste my list of book orders into a word document.

It'll take a lot of editing but I'll put something together later.

I've got between 100-150 books to read...

My problem is actually starting a new series because I have that many to read I just don't know where to begin, making a decision is hard so I normally end up rereading books instead and the list just grows...

I'll tell you right now, if I see any supernatural romance books on that list that will be your top priority.
