If I make a threat, I will go through with it if I have to. I made it very clear that I would prevent you from any chance of winning if you didn't make me speaker, and even promised not to stand in your way if you had an obvious way to a win with your strategy choice. You may not believe me, but I would have kept my deal.

Your problem is that you're too rigid. The moment you decide you don't want to do something, you NEVER bend. This was an easy bend for you that wouldn't have cost you a thing, yet you decided to just throw away your game anyway. Not really my problem that you did so.

The only way I win this game is if I get an extremely lucky 2VP PO AND a reasonable SO draw. Very unlikely. So my job, then, is to prevent as many others from winning for as long as I can. Plus, by taking your homeworld, I force you to take it back if you want to try for a win, which means you'll lose my Support too.

So, remember this in future games when you're yet again wallowing in defeat. When I make a threat, I will go through with it.

Another lesson learned - aetherstream is now a strong contender for best tech. It would have been good if it was just your ships, the fact you can use it for yourself and any of your neighbours. Crazy good. I think mirror computing is still slightly better for it's ability to scoop up those late game VPs, but wow.

Aetherstream is OP in my view and makes getting around too easy for too many people. The bit I have most issue with is the 'adjacent to an anomaly' bit of the text - maybe it's our map, but pretty much everything is adjacent to an anomaly, there's hardly any limitation on using it. It makes a joke out of considering movement limitations, previously a significant tactical part of the game.

It is a bit our map. I put a little bit more anomalies than usual in when building this map. Didn't have Aetherstream in mind at all when doing so. So yeah, ends up being that Aetherstream can apply to every non-anomaly system on the map except two at the very top, which is almost certainly more than a usual game (though note systems aren't adjacent to themselves, so Aetherstream is not useable for moving into an anomaly... but that doesn't happen very often).
