Blend, I don't think you told me which counter to discard. IH, I don't think you told me how to distribute your new ones.

All I'm hearing is a bunch of people upset because I can change who MIGHT win and they can't do a thing about it. I haven't been a fan of being attacked by most of the table this game. I understand that is part of the game. But when those actions lead me to want to support the one player who hasn't and again it MIGHT change the outcome, oh noooo their previous actions now have consequences we cant have that. I will not be brow beaten because you don't like my choice to do what I want within the rules of the game.

Now can we drop this and finally finish this game? You are all making such a big deal out of something that might not even happen and wont likely change the outcome of the game.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I think Kingmaking is generally frowned upon and has been since pretty much the first game, though many of us have done it or threatened to do it at one point or another.

I think it'd be a dick move to deprive Drek of a win she came by completely honestly just because you're butthurt that the table didn't let you build enough power to dominate it.

I'm not even kingmaking. That is one of the reasons I'm pissed at you all. And come by honestly? Well points are points and she is a pirate. I see it fitting that a win being stolen from the pirates would have a certain poetic justice about dont you think?

It's one thing to be like "The Sardakk backstabbed our alliance, relentlessly attacked me, and even took my homeworld so I'm supporting their rival out of spite". I think that's reasonable to an extent, this is a game of diplomacy and negotiation after all. Actions have consequences, and it fits the theme.

It's another thing to be like "I played a good game and was in the running often, but I'm 1 point behind everyone else so I guess I'll throw my support at another player 'cause I have nothing better to do." The only "counter-play" to that sort of attitude is not to play with you at all, it seems.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

And frankly, even having these conversations spoils the mood of finishing the game, IMO. If this sort of conversation is going to come up, even just the hypothetical of it, in the last round of every game, I'd rather not play with SftT cards at all just so they don't invariably trigger these mood-souring conversations in every game.

Well one must have goals and there was no guarantee I would even do that as I have no Tactical actions to attack Tatts and lose that point.

So Blend and D'rek let's do the final bow. Thank Morgoth and drop praise on D'rek's unlikely come from behind win and salivate for the next chance to improve my performance

I would never be so dishonourable as to accept a SftT card this late in the game.
