It's on Blend, Drek has my Ceasefire and SftT, so between you Blend and IH I'm sure one of you may produce the sabotage after drawing and on the off chance you do and somehow Blend takes Dreks HW then I want to be in a position to score in status first. For that reason I'll be picking Leadership.

It's how my brothers and I have always played. Nothing new to me. But there is a difference. IH only has 8 points. My giving him my support doesnt win him the game. You will still win so I'm not sure what you are so upset about.

You don't know for sure that IH won't whip out an action-phase SO to gain another point on his turn after all. Why would you even take the risk of going full last-minute-kingmaker-spoiler for no reason? Are you and your brothers the sort of players where everyone finds it funny to just suddenly flip the entire table over and spill the whole game on the floor halfway through the game out of the blue (it's fine since the person doing the flipping is having fun, right?), too?

Ah you refer to what we called earthquake. It usually was due to a rage quit so no no one thought that was funny. We did grow out of that during our late teens but they still go out of their way to make sure whoever is going to win doesnt. It's been a part of my gaming existence my whole life so even though I've not been a huge fan of it I've never thought it wasn't a valid method of playing. And if IH does have an action phase secret object he has to score it while also neighboring me with almost no ships. If he can do that props to him.

I see. So from hereon there's no point in any of us actually trying to play any future games of TI, is there? I mean, why spend weeks and weeks playing the game "properly" and trying to garner points if the rest of the table will always throw all their supports to someone else "just because" ? Or do we keep playing but the new forum meta that everyone holds on to their SftT, gets to 6 points, then refuses to score public objectives round after round after round even though they are able to because the "winning" move is to be in 4th or 5th place when someone else gets to 9 points? Or do we all just ignore points entirely and draw funny shapes with our dreadnoughts because trying to win the game is pointless now?

I agree with Drek. Deals have to benefit both parties. If you could attack Drek to fuck her up I'll be all for it but not just giving stuff away.
