I guess you would also have needed to take both planets which I don't think there are enough infantry within range for.
There is no struggle too vast, no odds too overwhelming, for even should we fail - should we fall - we will know that we have lived. ~ Anomander Rake
My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

Though I suppose you could have managed to grab an extra infantry with one of your cruisers using gravity drive. Gods, this game is worse than chess.

You only need to take 1 planet to prevent the player from scoring POs.
Also I could bring the infantry from Bereg for 2, though veeeery unlikely both cruisers would survive the PDS fire and the dreadnought to be able to commit both infantry.

I still don't have gravity drive, though!

Say what?! LoL
Things you just assume sometimes! Oops! I guess you don't need Gravity Drive because of the top hyperlane.
But yeah, I was hoping that the Dreadnought would be enough to deter you, but was worried maybe you'd take the chance anyway. Owell!

Also definitely thought I just had to retain control of at least 1 planet, but I see that it has to be all planets in the home system. Wow.

Well, back to Tatts, let's see what he does. I thought he was going to research LWD and go for my HW, using Warfare to get past the ceasefire, but evidently not.
No Drek. Why would I do that unless in retaliation?

I am very sad that I can't get involved in all these shenanigans. I'm surprised blend hasn't offered tatts his sftt to attack d'rek.
Looks like it will come down to initiative and whatever objective is available, d'rek wins if a 2 vp objective she can score appears, otherwise blend can definitely end the game, and twelve can probably end the game.

I'm pretty sure D'rek can score just about any public agenda that is revealed. The fact that Tatts is attacking me AGAIN has pretty much secured a win for D'rek.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Your penchant for targeting me for these SOs when there are other targets is getting really old
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah, unless someone stops me, someone wins sooner, or the agenda phase interrupts it, I will score 3 VP this status phase to reach 9, then take Imperial next round, play it on my first turn and fulfill the spend 3 CTs PO to win.

If it's the 4 Industrial planets D'rek has plenty of targets to pick from as well. One with zero troops on it.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
