I'll be buying the disc version. I don't actually buy physical discs any longer but I might want to pop in a game from the public library once in a while.

I'm hoping that a small industry pops up around replacing the white plates with custom designs and colours, with matching controllers. I'd like a PlayStation 1 Gray colour scheme.

The PlayStation isn't out in Denmark until around the 17th or 20th or something like that, hopefully I can snatch one up but I'm not hopeful.

Can't see any there's anything must play for me day 1. Maybe Miles Morales but my Spider-Man is Peter Parker.

I am also getting the disc version. A friend of mine and I exchange switch games all the time, so I have come back around to the value of physical games.

As for games day 1, or me it's clearly cyberpunk, I doubt my original version ps4 will run it well, and of course Demon Souls remastered.

I want the disc version because it's going to be easier to persuade my wife that way as we don't have another Blu-ray/DVD player outside the PS4. I know it costs more but I think that'll be the selling point.

It looks like a broadband router. It's pretty standard design. And all that space is to keep it cool and quiet, I suppose. It's got some pretty powerful hardware in there that's gonna be generating a lot of heat.

Which straight away gets to the core of PS problems: cooling. I have a PS2, a PS3 and a PS4pro and especially the latter two are noisy as fuck. I even had to send my PS4 back once (nearly twice) because it was shutting down from overheating. Not even going near the PS5 until I get some promising feedback on its cooling capacity and noise levels. Really killing this console for me.

I'll believe it when I hear user feedback. I have had so much noise and overheating hassle with previous PS consoles that I have grown very cynical. But hopefully I will be proven wrong, as PS do have some game franchises that I am very keen on.

Today was the official launch of the PS4 in Denmark.

Tried getting one online when the various stores opened up orders. Nothing.

Don't think I'll be getting one before mid-december earliest and likely, if the production doesn't ramp up, not before early 2021.

Guess I'll just have to read books. Oh, the humanity.
