From what I understood, the trashed Jacuruku of Kallors wrath was taken to become the imperial warren (like the skin on top) and the land underneath was scraped clean to be allowed to heal into new Jacuruku...

Yeah all the ash and bone and incinerated land (how DID Kallor do that?) was put into a warren so the land could heal.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

I thought it was partly from the impact caused by the fall of the Crippled God.
Laseen did nothing wrong.
