Hi All,

My style improved while I was drawing my Genabackis map. So, I wanted to redraw the Seven Cities map.

If you don't mind, I have some following issues.

1. It would be nice to find some ruins.
2. I want to add the Raraku Oasis, but I'm not sure where it is in the valley
3. I need some details in the SW part of the map. I think the Jhag Odhan is more dried brush.
4. What is the mountains called below the Clatar Sea
5. Should we show the Lost cities? Not sure where they are.

Any other feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

But your questions are difficult. For most ruins, like the one Felisin, Kulp and Heboric found, an exact or even rough position isn't mentioned. In case of the Raraku Oasis I would guess maybe more to the South-East, but that's mostly gut feeling. While normally an Odhan is descriped as an desert or wasteland with not much vegetation, I would consider the Jhag Odhan an Savanna based on the describtion. Probably with desertification in some areas. I guess the colour you used for the Dojal Odhan North of Aren would be more accurate. I don't think that the mountains were ever mentioned in the books and there was also no name for them on the world map by Steven Erikson. I think the Lost Cities are a similar case to the ruins. I will try to have a look in the books during the holidays to see if I can find something :)

Thanks Coltaine! you don't need to look through the books over the holidays. I think the map is a pretty good place. But, do you know the name of mountains under the Clatar Sea? I'm surprised I can't find that!

Gorgeous! It's even better now than it was before, and it was already amazing back then!

I guess the ruins Kulp/Felision/etc went through would be near the east side of Raraku.

I don't think it's ever explicitly stated, but I imagine it would have to be closer to the east side as Felisin and co. didn't take *that* long to reach it, while the Bridgeburners walking through the whole thing took weeks and weeks.

The only description we ever get of it, IIRC, is in House of Chains when Karsa ventures out there, but even then it's a pretty sparse description. Presumably there is much more detail to the area, but since the books never take us there we just don't know.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Thanks for reminding me about the Ruins east of Raraku Oasis... I've attached a snapshot of the SW part of the map.

Here is a take on the SW part of the map. I took some creative liberts. I wanted to try out a sand dune type desert.
I just called it the Gentle Sea.
