So did we ever find out Who is behind the Trygalle Trade Guild? Itkovian says they're from Elingarth? And Silverfox is well impressed with they're Warren travelling capabilities and said she would like to meet them some day?
Kruppe who suggested using them and seems to know more of them and as he and K'rul are BBFs maybe they're behind it and the guild is a Front? i'm guessing here.

I found out, but it would be inappropriate to discuss here in the MOI forum.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Right then, here we are in the General subforum where any reference to any Malazan book is fair game.
So, the TTG...
They appear significantly in MoI (first appearance resupplying Dujek's army and by extension, the Chain of Dogs in DG), TB (Paran's storyline), TtH (Gruntle and Mappo's storyline) and TCG (Gruntle and Mappo as well as some individual TTG members whose names i'm blanking on). They have appearances elsewhere but those are the books that have actual plotlines.
Through this we learn:
- they are a collection of mercenaries and mages essentially running a business;
- they have dealings and 'shareholders' all over the place;
- because of their diverse membership and work, they know things.
As far as i can recall, that's all we ever learn. There is no revelation of deep dark powers in the background. They're essentially cool mercenaries with a transport business.
I kind of like the simplicity of that.... not everything has to be the result of millennia of divine meddling and ascendant agendas.

Thanks Abyss, nothing spoilery in that! so what was Worry saying when she said she knows who they are? was she hitting the Durhang again?

I thought the Eel was the TTG boss.
Or at least, he was the major shareholder. All the other shareholders must go with and protect the carriage at some point, but not the Eel

Worry lies. It's a problem she has. I think it's all the hallucinogenic frog licking. Again.

Shareholder almost certainly... i think it was established in MoI that he was arranging supplies and making a profit in the process.
And we don't know that he has never done time on a carriage, we just have not seen it, tho i think it would be entirely consistently with the character for him to avoid the work every single time.
...it's not like we don't have other groups in the series who are 'just there'. The Letherii Rat Catcher's Guild comes to mind.

The Eel is indeed somehow elsewhere whenever people are trying to find him. Slippery.
But yeah, from what we've seen, the Trygalle Trade Guild are very competent, very reliable, very expensive mercenaries and merchants. They found a niche for a business and made one.
Similar to the Rat Catchers' Guild.
Laseen did nothing wrong.
