According to Adam Schefter, Andrew Luck is retiring.

Apparently he's mentally worn down and cannot stay healthy.

I'm just going to lie down and cry fantasy wise.

Sports wise I can understand the decision.

As its retirement not injury would anyone be opposed to my 4th round choice of Luck being replaced by his replacement Brissett?

I think that swapping picks is a slippery slope. Retirement and injury have the same outcome and that’s that you can’t use the player you drafted. Though, with an injury there is at least a shot that the player returning.

Lamar Miller got injured yesterday with a likely ACL tear. If true he’ll be done for the season and Shin will be out a pick. In years past, tough luck. I think if we swap for you, we’d have to swap for him too. I guess I’m opposed but only from an equality standpoint.

This. Players get injured, banned, traded or retire. It changes their value and that of those around them - for example, Josh Gordon being allowed to play again could really impact the value of Edelman. It's for a reason we draft Andrew Luck or Saquon Barkley as opposed to "the Indiana Quarterback(s)" or the "NYG Running back committee".

I don't like changing the draft. Pick up Big Ben and then get your def and kicker. I am sure that Indy is going all out to get Luck to change his mind. If he comes back then great if not you would have cousins and Big Ben which is pretty solid.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

The other fantasy leagues I'm in would be okay with me doing that as it's not injury or transfer. Im not too fussed that you guys decided against it. It is what it is.

I kinda don't want to play anymore. My heart is broken.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

You will sniffly it up and continue to play ffb. You can only get through the pain by focusing on the future. Luck made the right choice. No sense continuing to play when you aren't going to be able to function as a human after.

Who knows perhaps brissett will be good.

Bleh. I'm a miserable being right now. I'll play under protest of extreme emotional disturbance.
