how can you say the 2nd blade is otataral. they are the exact same. the only difference is the lighting, the flames kinda give the left hand a slight orangey glow.

No, it's definitely the lighting.
Can't say I see much difference, although it baffles me why they had to change the font in the middle of the series.

Maybe we should start a "We Wont the Font" petition?
oops... I think that's classed as spam
Seriously.. I didn't think about it at all, but it's the title isn't it? The authors name is still as per other books...

Its amazing even after the book proves it's Kalam on the cover someone will argue it's the lighting. But thats whats great about discussion.

conflicting views and responses from good old Patch keep us from believing that is Kalam. Plus exactly which color? The yellow or the bright shiny color?
@hetan: Yes, perhaps we should cause its a piss off. Even the line that seperates the Title from "A tale of the malazan book of the fallen" is missing.

I think I might get a rular and a white pen and draw the line on:( But I'd have to buy two copies, don't wanna spoil one and not have a mint edition left!!

Why'd they get rid of the line? That's what I want to know. The line made it all pretty and structured.

I dunno
It looks like it could be a WoT cover. Doesn't resemble the style of the previous covers at all.
But covers are only skin deep and it's what's inside that counts. I'm sure the book has a great personality.
