To get a little serious for a second:
My sense, given the description of Karsa 1's "flood" issue, is that SE is going to integrate much of the apocalyptic thematic material that's been on his mind into this trilogy anyway. It's going to be a stylistic shift for sure, but I don't doubt that both trilogies will be fitting bookends to the MBOTF, and SE has much more on his mind than "what happens to Karsa" just as he had much more on his mind than "what was young Anomander like?" I would definitely like Walk In Shadow before the whole Karsa trilogy is completed because my guess is that -- while both series will be 'warnings' of sorts -- the prequels are going to be about failure, ultimately, and the sequels are going to be about possibility. 'Hope' is a strong word, but in terms of what I know about SE, he's aching for people to do the right thing.
