During the prologue of Midnight Tides, after Scabandari Bloodeye betrays Silchas Ruin during the invasion of the Tiste (after the sundering of Emurlahn), it is said that his Eleint-form carries Ruin's body to the tower.
He veered into his draconean form. An enormous taloned foot closed about the motionless Silchas Ruin, and Scabandari Bloodeye rose into the sky, wings thundering.
The tower was less than a hundred leagues to the south, only its low battered wall enclosing the yard revealing that it was not of Jaghut construction, that it had arisen beside the three Jaghut towers of its own accord, in answer to a law unfathomable to god and mortal alike. Arisen…to await the coming of those whom it would imprison for eternity. Creatures of deadly power.
With a league being roughly an hour's walk (3 miles), that puts the tower less than 300 miles south from the battle between the K'Chain Che'Malle and the invading Tiste. Assume that the tower being discuss *is* the Azath Tower in Letheras with Ruin, the Pack, the Seregahl, and Sheltatha Lore—and using both MT and RG's maps to see that Brous and First Reach are roughly 100 leagues from one another—this places the betrayal/invasion taking place somewhere north-of-due-east from First Reach and north of Letheras.
Note, there is some variability in between the two maps, and this is not an exact science. It also assumes there is no time-dependent land stretching going on here between ages.
Now, let's switch to the Jaghut lands map in FoD/FoL. Assuming that the Azath Tower is the same one spoken of near Omtose Phellack (and assuming that the distance key is relatively consistent between the Kharkanas trilogy's maps) would that place the invasion north of Eltura Forest?
Obviously this is moot if orientation of north has changed over time (which is likely.)
