Headless Andii

Okie doke... pity me if I missed this discussion on a first go-round.
So in the beginning of HOC Rhulad and his 'brothers' are discussing the fate of Trull. In this conversation they allude to killing and conquering a race that Trull described as being pure-kin (actual reference escapes me and I am at work). Rhulad goes on to suggest that if they had been pure then they wouldn't have died as easily.
So first question... does anyone else think that this is a reference to Bluerose Andii?
Second question... What do you all think about the possibility that the headless andii manning the oars on the Edur flagship in the Nascent are Bluerose?
I look forward to your thoughts.

I thought about the same, when Trull mentioned this 'pure kin'. However, it had not occured to me yet that this might well be where the Andii heads on the ship come from... Sometimes I am a bit slow on the uptake

personally I think its unlikely that the andii are the pure-kin.
For one the edur have a history of emnity against the andii, which still remains alive in edur culture, so it's unlikely that they would be considered "kin". If they were andii it is likely that they would have been referred to as such. Pure-kin in my mind is likely to either refer to anothergroup of edur located in the search through the warrens, or a group of edur who turned against rhulads rule as there is little suggestion that the edur consider any other tiste as "kin"

possible, but in my opinion unlikely... since the edur flagship itself, the silandah comes from drift avalli, which was the home of a large number of tiste andii it is much more likely that the andii on the ship come from there.
If they were from bluerose the silandah would have had to have sailed from drift avalli halfway round the world to letheras, killed a few bluerose and made them oar slaves and then sailed back... which is posisble but the andii beign from drift avalli makes more sense in my mind.

far be it with me to take issue with either the esteemed IH or vaiski over this...so I'm not....
Whilst the Andii were separated - there were landings at different times on the malazan world - the Edur arrived in one mass. I don't recall a reference to them having separated?

Neither do I, but I think Rhulad said of his search through the warren fragments of kurald emurlahn that they were looking for any kin among these fragments. I'd say that it's likely that at least one other enclave of edur survived among these fragments.
Oh and seeing as the tiste edur spent a lot of time on the sea fighting the toblakai and barghast it's possible that a group of them landed elsewhere in the world and settled. The barghast after all cover many continents.

'Lost kin? What does that mean?'
'Tiste Edur,' Hannan Mosag replied in his smooth voice. 'Survivors, from when our kind were scattered, following the loss of Scandabari Bloodeye.'

not to mention the fact that bluerose andii aren't full blooded tiste andii.
