Blessing of the bridgeburners

When Quick an Paran visit their fallen comrades inside Moon's spawn, Paran blesses the bridgeburners "one and all". After they leave the sarcophagi start glowing.
Does this mean Paran has (knowingly or unknowingly) blessed them into the deck of dragons?
I'm wondering because he was told not to bless the house of chains to refrain it from entering the deck of dragons. Now he has blessed the bridgeburners, so what would that mean then?

i think that, along with kimloc's bridgeburner tune, it means that they ascend

Does that mean my asking whether they get their own house was an offensive question as well? (my post stating that question has been removed as well)
This blessing took place in memories of Ice, so this is the right forum to start this thread righT?

ascension does not necessarily mean getting your own house as far as I know...
and as far as your other post goes......
sorry, I was perhaps a little over-zealous in the admin department...it's been a busy morning:)

Over-zealous? Why, answering the house-questions seems to have also been considered an offending post, considering how the answer is in the GLOSSARY of the next book...

No - the glossary of the next book
You don't need to read it, you need only to open it. If you've already read MoI it doesn't really matter from where are you gonna read this and therefore it is not a spoiler :/
But yeah, considering people may not actually check the glossary before they read the book, I guess it might be considered as such

*mumbles sheepishly*
I actually read the first 200 pages of GOTM without realizing there was a glossary on the first go-round. Talk about a spinning head...
As to the blessing. Read on my friend! Read on! I look forward to seeing what if anything Ganoes blessing implies for Twist.

Same here. I actually read half the book before a friend of mine told me about it

that bothers me also - i mean, not only bridgeburners are buried in moon's spawn; it's also twist and the two women who defended silverfox against kallor... and these three were never bridgeburners, were they?
does paran's blessing apply to them? :Erm:

twists blessing was a differant affair altogether wasent it?
i think paran blessed the bridgeburners specifically, so even though others were interred, hes words applied to the bridgeburners

yes, let me quote:
"whiskeyjack, for all that you taught me, I thank you. Bridgeburners, I wish I could have done better by you. Especially at the end. At the very least I could have died with you. All right, it's probably too late. But I bless you, one and all."
So it's aimed at the bridgeburners specifically, I would say. But wouldn't that mean he'd be blessing the bridgeburners still alive as well?

he blessed "the bridgeburners" so even though he aimed his speech at the interred, he blessed the bridge burners as a whole.
the thing is, if he did bless them as a whole, doesnt that mean hes blessed every single bridgeburner? cos there were alot but they just died out,

doesn't it say in the book that after QB and Paran leave the room "a faint light started to sparkle between the coffins" or something like that?
now i know it would have been horrible to read if erikson had excluded the coffins of twist and the two women so it could just be a case of keeping up the atmosphere and sacrificing clarity but it may also be the case that they all were blessed... after all paran says to the whole room that they are blessed... i know the chance is small but it could be, couldn't it?

its possible that he blessed them too, just thinking if i were in parans shoes, i think he was overwhelmed by the bravery of the bridgeburners, and the others as well, and was prolly blessing everyone. thats what id do, i think.

"But a new glow came to the chamber. Faint, seeming to dance with the black web on the sarcophagi. A dance of mystery."
Don't know what that means.
And, yes the bridgeburners as a whole are mentioned in HoC's glossary as ascended. So that would mean fid, quick and kalam (amongst others) are ascendants.

Yet after the death of *spoiler*, I don't think they are Bridgeburners anymore. I think Paran knew who he was targeting and that matters more than the wording he used
