As the title say, I wanted to listen to some Malazan podcasts but i couldnt find any. Its baffling to me that no one is doing it. So i am planing with my friend to start doing it. Does anyone have any advices to give to us. Like how to structure it and should it be spoiler free or whatever.

I would simply say, listen to other podcasts that focus on a singular subject like this, and see which ones resonate with you as a listener, and do that.

I doubt that anyone would be bothered by your accent. If they are bothered they shouldn't listen.

People love accents. The sitcom Perfect Strangers was on for eight seasons based solely on one character having an accent.

I've never really found one, I know one feed had a few episodes but died off years back. I've been working on one for a bit, hopefully going to be ready soon.
I don't think accents are a problem really. More podcasts the merrier imo.

thing is we kinda recorded few episodes of it but i feel like it aint good enough so im apprehensive about uploading it. I wanna do it justice because this series is criminally underrated even though it is probably best fantasy series out there. I think i will upload it and then work from there. Change what people dont like and add more things people do like. Thanks for words of encouragement guys. Really appreciate it xD

We changed little bit format between these first 2 episodes. First episode we were doing lot of retelling and we thought it is boring, so we tried something different in second episode. If u have some things u like or dislike leave comment on YT or here

Heard this. Love the concept, but needs some work. Not criticism, but think as constructive feedback.

1) Accents are not a problem. Both of you are clear to hear.
2) You need to structure this more. Ep2 started with High Mages, moved to Brood and then led to Rakes Moon. Was a bit random without coherance. You need a main thread, can deviate a bit bilut come back to progress on the thread.
3) Target audience: is it people who have just read the book or full series? You often hint on future books but claim it's not spoilered. Kind if vague on the line. Personally I'd be happy if you go full open spoilers to those who have read full series as discussion will be more informed and detailed. No need to stop yourselves. But it's tour Target audience and you know them better than me.
4) Like not going chapter verbatim, but you still need to follow the book. Ties to point 2 above. Totally random discussion will be difficult to follow.

Malazans were losing the war before Battle of Pale and badly. Dujek clearly states that as one of reasons for attacking Moon's Spawn after years of waiting...they don't want Brood to finish there and join up here.

well we tried to structure it chapter by chapter but we didnt like rettelling, we felt it was boring. So now we just try to focus at one chapter per episode and we try to go in detail about info that is presented but people might not notice it. Also we know how war is going, but for reader of chapter 2 u are not sure Malazan is losing that war. It seems they are wiining at that point, as there is only single free city left. In next chapter we find out that they are losing and losing badly . As for spoilers u do have point there. It is really challenging. We do give some info thats not revealed till later books but we try not to spoil events. Like in battle of Pale we revealed tidbit from book 3 ( where Tay revealed what happened at Pale ). We deemed it not important enought for future books to keep it secret. But i do agree it is problematic and hard to do. We try to use common sense. Really apreciate your input man.
