'Twas the night before New Year, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even an mouse;
The sleigh was serviced with great care,
In readiness for the coming winter, such a weight to bear;
Santa was nestled all snug in his bed,
While visions of pies danced in his head;
And Elves slumbered wearily, out in the snow,
Knowing that soon their blood would flow;
For the season was over, now they made plans,
Which toy would top the charts in every land;
That hard choice must now be made,
One winner, all rivals they slayed;
Wooden horses, toy trains,
And sickly sweet candy canes;
Games consoles, robotic toys,
iJobs' latest take on Game Boys;
The maddest of sweets, E-numbers galore,
Pitch twitching children on to the floor;
One would be the winner, different each year,
Victor in blood, the survivors they cheer;
The corpses now must all be buried,
Blood swept quickly, oh how they hurried;
No sign can be left, no proof of the fight,
Soon Santa would wake and all will be right;
But the noises this year out in the snow,
Too many rockets and bombs they did blow;
Santa has cracked open one bloodshot eye,
Who woke him so early the elves did cry,
Now he shall see, the truth laid bare,
Elf fought elf and none did care;
Winning was all, all they desired,
Santa was wroth. All, you are fired;
Elf after elf, all stood in the night,
Said all "No you have not the right";
Picked their weapons up out of the snow,
Neighbour shot neighbour, flames did glow;
Santa stepped back, into his porch,
Picked up a gun and a torch;
Fight to the death over toys would they,
Dunder, Blixem, Bring me my sleigh!
Not a creature was stirring, not even an mouse;
The sleigh was serviced with great care,

Santa looks out from his porch as the elves forge brief alliances and discuss strategy. The little devils. So they'd break bones over a toy? How had his island of peace and good cheer come to this? How had he missed it year after year? The shame turned his already rosy cheeks bright red. Gesturing firmly in the direction of the largest group he unleashed Dunder and Blixem.
For centuries they'd competed for the right for their toy to be the most gifted that Christmas. Now Santa thought that they'd cease merely on his command? Well they'd show him! And if the chance came along to eliminate some competition, well they'd not look a gift snowman in the nose.
It is Day 1. 36 hours remaining
9 Players still alive: Aranatha, Ay Estos, Eldat Pressen, Fanderay, Jalan, Kalse, Okaros, Ruse, Skintick
5 votes to lynch, 5 votes to go to night.
Players not voted: Aranatha, Ay Estos, Eldat Pressen, Fanderay, Jalan, Kalse, Okaros, Ruse, Skintick
