This is a bad idea. Theres no way ice and Se are gonna be able to pay for it. If they go to some production company it'll get ruined. If they do come up with the money how are they gonna make it back? Sure all the people who read SE are gonna go see it. Think of someon who never saw it thinking "Hmm, what the **** is a warren?". Sorry for being a cynic. But if its gonna be made then Grimhilde is in the right direction with acters.

I must disagree...this is a friggin great idea for a movie!
but yes money is a problem, but I reckon they thought that through before they decided to make a movie, let alone tell us about it..

WOW, I had this picture in my mind and kept looking up all the different suggestions and comparing it to the image of Coltaine that SE painted in my head. Then you suggest Ken Watanabe and he is the one.
And I picture Duiker as Peter Stormare or Stellan Skarsgard (with a tan...)

Read the enitre thread (definately getting to an unmanageble point), while it doesn't seem much closer a movie or a series I'd like to see this even if it was holiwooded to pieces I'd hope that SE gets it done the way he wants.
Also another Australian here, love to be an extra if filming here ever happens (also does anyone have a decent description of list handy?)
