Well, if you a leave a juicy system available at a time when I am capable of taking it then sure, I will grasp at the chances I can get for victory.

Honestly, I don't see how you can get to any of my planets. To move you have to move either the beta or alpha wormhole into a system that contains your ships and then move them through the wormhole.

So with beta you'd have D'rek's dread blocking you or IH's fleet and through Alpha you'd have Gnaw's or Nom's ships blocking you.

You'd be moving for VP gain surely or good position on the map and moving towards me would give you neither.

I see two options for you but I know you're canny and can work something different but option one, you have an action card that can help you bypass ships and a +1 movement.

Gnaw's homeworld is option one.

Option two is to take Mallice whilst Tapper is weak. He cannot resupply ships and his fleet is damaged. He's in a good position on the board and you want to weaken your competitors.

I don't mind discussing this with you but you'd probably want to keep your cards to your chest.

Aye, I am in no position to do anything in particular as is. You also have to remember that I have very little production, and so cannot risk a straight up confrontation. At least not as of yet. When I attacked D'rek I assumed I'd be able to flee to the nebula if things didn't go my way. Alas Khell ruined that whole plan in his normal, spectacular fashion. The loss of that fleet set me back at least two turns. Imagine what life would have been like if I had an ever growing fleet right there at the centre of the map. Sigh.

Gnaw's homeworld is weak yes, but I have very little movement and IH has a major fleet between us. And to be honest, Gnaw is not at risk of winning this game, and so he's pretty far down on my list of priorities.

So in short, I am content to wait. I can't do anything in particular right now, but the board is always in flux, and as long as I can gain points I don't actually need to do anything other than sit tight. Sure, it's not as fun, but it's an option.

If the next agenda is indeed about destroying ships in wormhole systems, why would anyone spend a CT (and possibly a few ships) to fight me at Mallice this round, risking their own ships?
If it isn't, I will be out of Mallice and go back to my own side of the board in the next round, probably within my first 2 actions, with all plastic (if I still have ships there).

@ Khell: you did squander your game in the very first few turns. But I don't think you should have spent round 1-3 fighting me either. The deal we made for T/T was a good one for both of us at the time. Imho, your mistake was what you did next by going full migration, instead of hanging on longer to Herrah and Tar'Mann on my side and Lodor and Wellon on Nom's (or Lodor, Gral-Centauri, Herrah and Mecatol, for a super compact high influence empire).
