Which at that point D'rek has no legal obligation to honor any part of the deal as she never agreed to the new terms yet was given the speaker token regardless. At that point it would be a courtesy to Tatts to give him what he wanted instead an obligation.

But we can argue who is right and who is wrong until we are all blue in the face. It doesn't change the fact D'rek still took Leadership and now Gnaw is faced with having to choose something else.
