I can agree to this - state your intention to play the rider in your status phase, but you don't have to decide which way to use it until everyone else has posted their status phase post. You offered. I accepted. Just because you thought you were joking doesn't mean that was how I read it. But it was a non binding agreement and you are well within your rights to break the deal, but break a deal you will be doing if I call it in and you don't honor it.

I don't mind if people post their status posts out of initiative order, but if someone wants to see someone else's post before they post and that other person is before them in initiative order, then they have the right to do that.

The only other option I can think of is to add a "Pre-Agenda Phase" after the status phase and before the agenda phase during which time the agendas would be revealed and people could play riders/vetoes/abilities. But then we'd basically be adding a whole extra day due to time differences.

Open offer to anybody, some of my votes not already assigned to twelve for an agreement to cast the same number of votes in a direction of my choosing on a future vote. Limiting votes I give you to votes you currently have available.

If twelve is calling in his marker they will have to be on the action card agenda.

If it were any agenda other than Seed of an Empire or Mutiny, I doubt people would be as concerned with seeing all the status posts before playing a rider, either.

Bring up that phase discussion around the time I offered my votes. I was playing mind games with Twelve and was surprised to find it in his game post.

IH every time we've struck a deal it has gone back and forth until both parties agree. That didn't happen here. I offered as a joke and he put it in his game post. There's no negotiation there.

If the deal is accepted at face value there is no need for back and forth. Just admit you opened your mouth and inserted your foot and pay the consequences of potentially breaking a deal with me if you so choose. Nothing I can do to stop you from breaking your word but everyone knows that is exactly what you would do.
